Over 20 years of care

We’re building the safe and healthy communities our youth need to thrive.

Caring Communities and its network of local partners are preventing and reducing substance abuse in youth and young adults in Franklin County, Vermont.

We equip individuals, families, and the community at large to create healthy, substance-free environments through positive youth development, substance abuse prevention, and mentoring.

We work with parents, youth, organizations, businesses, law enforcement, and local advocates to help communities make healthy choices.

Introducing Parent Information Sessions:

Looking for ways to support your teen’s health and well-being? Join us every 3rd Monday of the month for our free, online parent information meeting focused on promoting healthy youth. These meetings will provide Grand Isle and Franklin Counties' parents and guardians with valuable tips and insights around youth resilience, substance misuse prevention, youth mental health, and communication skills with youth.  Meetings will be led by our staff with support from local community partners.  We want to offer a supportive community where you can connect with other parents and learn new strategies for raising happy and healthy youth.

Caring Communities equips individuals, families, and the community at large to create healthy, substance-free environments where everyone can thrive.

We do this by working with community partners to identify and implement strategies to prevent and reduce substance abuse, particularly among youth and young adults.
