Highlights in March:

 

 

TeenFest: Think. Laugh. Live. TeenFest is an annual event for and by Franklin and Grand Isle teens. March 31, 1 - 9 PM at Collins-Perley Sports Complex, St. Albans.

TeenFest 2007 features: video premiers by local youth, Miss Vermont, Snake Star, LaPlant's Tae Kwon Do, art, African dance and drumming with Jeh Kulu, film-making with Meme Films, live music by "This Side Up", DJ & dance, inflatables, food, networking, and much, much more -- for all Franklin Grand Isle teens 7th-12th grade. TeenFest is organized by the Franklin Grand Isle Youth Advisory Council (YAC).

YAC is a group of teens and adults who work together to improve the community environment, reduce violence, and prevent substance abuse for their peers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

START Forum - START stands for Stop Teen Alcohol Risk Team. Join us for a kick-off to Alcohol Awareness Month from 1 to 3 p.m. on March 31 at People's Trust Company. Learn about strategies to prevent and reduce underage and high-risk drinking, and share your ideas for reducing alcohol risk among teens and young adults. We need YOU on the team!
